Prayer for Freedom from Addiction

Dear Lord,

I come to you today, humbly and with a heavy heart, asking for your help and guidance. I am struggling with addiction, and it has taken control of my life. I have tried to break free from its grip, but I always seem to fall back into its alluring trap.

Lord, I know that true freedom comes from you. You have promised to set the captives free, and I am here, longing to experience that freedom in my life. I pray that you would have mercy on me, and break the chains of addiction that bind me.

Please forgive me for my weaknesses and shortcomings. Give me the strength to resist temptation and to overcome this addiction. Help me to find healthy coping mechanisms and to surround myself with people who will support and encourage me on this journey.

Please heal any wounds or voids that may have led me to turn to addiction. Fill me with your love and peace, and help me to find my worth and identity in you.

I trust in your power to bring about true freedom in my life. I have faith that you will guide me and give me the strength to overcome this struggle. Thank you for your unwavering love and for always being by my side. In Jesus' name amen.
